Mady, Drew, and I headed up to Fort Wayne today for a trip to the Fort Wayne Childrens' Zoo with the Drakes today. We had lots of fun! Mady was a bit reserved for awhile, but ended up having a blast. The turning point started in the aquarium. She really liked looking at the fish! I think they reminded her of one of her favorite puzzles.
We enjoyed a log ride through "Australia". I suppose we did see a few kangaroos...
Drew was a champ. He was hot a sweaty, but overall either sleeping or cheerful.
Mady was extremely excited when she discovered the train, so Jacob took Mady and Lucy for a ride, while Whitney and I spent some time in the shade with Drew and Miles.
Mady shocked me to no end when she decided she wanted to feed the goats (this after having refused to pet the rabbit five minutes earlier). She loved it!
The girls wrapped things up by playing in the water spritzer. After we loaded them up we headed over to Cold Stone for some delicious ice cream before the drive home!
