It's been a week full of changes in the Stanislav home! Mady really enjoyed playing in Kaylee's toddler bed while we were at their house, so we decided we would switch hers when we got home. She's loving it! We got her a new pillow and bedding, and she was so excited. She does a pretty good job of staying in her bed. We've had a few nights of having to turn her around and send her back to bed, and I'm still adjusting to waking up each morning to a little person standing next to me yelling, "Mommy, wake up!"
The other big change this week was learning how to use the big girl potty! Mady is doing a fantastic job. We started Monday using the 3 Day Potty Training method, which basically goes cold turkey on the diapers. We had several accidents Monday, but had a couple of successes before the day was done, and only 2 accidents on Tuesday and Wednesday! We ventured out to Muncie yesterday and she did a great job of going potty in weird places. Better than most adults! And she did great this morning at church, also. Our little girl is growing up on us so fast! You'll notice the magazine in the picture below. We looked through it one of the first days after we started, trying to get her to sit still long enough to poop (TMI? Sorry!) It worked, and now she asks to look at it each time she goes. She sits there going, "Want this, Mommy!" Hopefully we haven't created a monster:-)
In other news, Kendall starts working again tomorrow, and is looking forward to kicking off the year. We're excited to have everyone return to Upland! We've had a great summer, but it will also be great to settle back into our school year routine.
