Birthday girl!

It feels like the last two years have absolutely flown by. Our baby is 2! I think I speak for both of us when I say that the past two years have been the best years of our lives. I had to reminisce with a couple of pictures:-)

We had a very fun and very busy weekend preparing for Mady's party. She was my good helper baking her birthday cake! When I wasn't pulling fingers out of the batter, that is.

Our birthday Sunday was a fun-filled day from start to finish! Mady was thrilled to wake up to a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday", her current favorite song, followed by time to open presents. We had pancakes for breakfast on our special birthday plate, and then had a fun morning at church with a potluck for lunch. After nap time we had her birthday party down at Taylor Lake with several friends. The kids quickly enjoyed their cupcakes, then had fun playing in the sand. I looked over at one point to discover that Mady decided to taste a fistful of sand. A poor decision on her part! She did have fun cleaning up in the water pump, though:-) It was a great, albeit tiring, day!
