Jack is 2! And has been for about a month and a half. It's been a bit busy around here lately! Kendall is transitioning to a different position on campus and we moved about 50 feet south into Vanderhill Cottage. We've been busy painting and fixing it up, packing, unpacking, and dealing with way too much sickness. All that to say, blogging slipped through the cracks. And since Mady's birthday is tomorrow, I figured better late than never.
I know in the past I've described Jack as being joyful, and that most definitely remains true. I'd also add mischevious, stubborn, playful, friendly, curious and loving. It's safe to say he keeps us all on our toes! Since turning two Jack's vocabulary has just exploded. He's talking a ton and will say hi and have a short conversation with anyone he sees. He loves to give us hugs and kisses and say "I love you". He also loves to jump on Mady and Drew and is quick to find ways to antagonize Drew. The other night he called him baby Drew and as soon as Drew protested, he started saying it over and over until we got to the park. And then picked it up again as soon as we started home. Drew was quite unhappy about the whole situation.
Jack likes to say his own prayer whenever we get ready to pray as a family. It consists of "ma ma ma, ma ma, ma ma ma, ma ma ma ma. Amen." We would love to know what he is hearing when we pray. I hope it makes more sense than that! I pray that Jack retains his joyful and tenacious spirit and that his light will bring joy to those around him. He is such a blessing to our family and we are so grateful that we get to call him ours. We love you Jack Jack!
