Jack turned one this past week! It's amazing how quickly time passes. Jack has been such a blessing to our family. He is a charming, smiley, generally happy, adventurous little guy. I remember commenting to Kendall several months ago that I thought Jack had a lot of personality. I'll stand by that statement yet today. He's so expressive and entertaining. If his belly is full and he isn't sleepy, he's content to crawl all over and keep himself entertained. If he is a bit hungry or sleepy, then he just wants me to hold him. He's discovered the joys of living in a residence hall and can turn a bad mood into a good mood by having the door to the hall opened wide. If Mady and Drew are happy and laughing, he will quickly join in as if he's part of the joke. Yesterday he crawled on top of Drew to wrestle a bit. They were both loving it. I found myself both anticipating and dreading the coming years:-)
How quickly we've gone from fitting into a baseball glove to chasing a ball around whenever he gets the chance. He loves to play ball!
Drew was more than happy to help Jack open presents.
Mady picked out this cute outfit with a whale on it. It coincided nicely with her whale unit at school.
We celebrated with family on Sunday. After a good meal, Jack was ready to open presents. He was obviously thrilled to receive a soccer ball!
Jack's first photo bomb. I love this picture so much.
Delicious cupcakes made by Aunt Allison!
I love the progression of these pictures. From what the heck is this...
to the first handful...
to sheer joy. He was ticked when I took the cake away from him.
And Kendall had some fun with our camera filters too. So much joy in this little guy!
We love you so much, Jackson Leo! Happy birthday!
