Over the past week or so, Drew has really found his voice. It's pretty easy to get him belly laughing when I go after his tummy, and he has started to talk all the time. Often it's just a long steady yell, with a few "da", "ba", & "la" sounds thrown in too. He's gotten quite loud! It's pretty hilarious. Last night he was especially funny laughing at Mady. She was going to the bathroom before bed and trying to poop. She started grunting and he started laughing harder than I've ever heard him laugh. Apparently potty humor starts early!
Today we went to Mady's very favorite store in Sioux City, Thinker Toys (or the castle toy store, as she calls it)). We decided to get her something special and found this adorable tutu and leotard. I'm actually surprised she didn't pick the pink ones. Anyway, lately she's really loved to dance. She does all kinds of ballet-ish moves, which cracks me up, considering the closest she's gotten to seeing ballet is watching Angelina Ballerina on PBS Kids. If this interest keeps up, we may have to enroll her in a ballet class sooner than later! Also, if you listen carefully you will notice that she is dancing to "Go Cubs Go". This makes her Daddy's heart happy:-)
