Baby Drew!

Well, after planning a C-section for March 3 (and planning on grocery shopping, doing laundry, and packing on March 2nd) Drew decided to teach us a lesson in flexibility and show up a day early. My water broke at 2:15 AM on March 2, so we hastily packed a bag, called our dear friend Sara to come watch Mady since the plan was for Grandma Jana to arrive the next afternoon, and took off for Muncie. Andrew John Stanislav arrived at 6:47 AM, weighing 8 lbs, 4 oz, and measuring 21 inches. We love him so much! It was hard to imagine loving another child as much as we love Mady, but it really is an instantaneous attachment.

Drew is a great baby. He sleeps a ton, eats a ton, doesn't cry a whole lot, and brings us so much joy. Mady is a great big sister. She loves her little brother very much and each day we see her becoming more and more comfortable with the changes in our family. She was a little leery around me in the hospital, but we seem to be overcoming that. She just let me read to her and cuddle before nap time, so that was a great step forward, considering how much of a mama's girl she usually is.
