We started off Drew's birthday with a trip to the bakery, just like we do every Saturday morning. He wanted a basketball cookie, and proceeded to lick off the frosting with out eating a single bite of cookie. Go figure.

Mady was so excited to get him a birthday present. Since she got her goldfish when she turned two, she was adamant that Drew get one for his second birthday as well. We went to Wal-Mart Friday night and she used her own money to buy him a fish, a balloon, and a card. She kept asking what else she could buy him. She has such a sweet, giving personality! Drew was pumped about everything she got him. I think she may win the award for favorite present.

In addition to loving the Jayhawks, both kids love the Cubs. Drew got his own Cubbies hat for his birthday. Go Cubs, go!

He also got a balance bike. He didn't want to wait for Daddy to adjust the seat before taking off!

We celebrated with grandparents and some of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He had a blast opening presents and did a pretty good job of sharing his new toys with his two younger cousins who were very interested in what was going on.

We had homemade pizza for lunch, and then enjoyed yet another delicious cake made by Aunt Allison. I love having a talented baker in the family! Thanks again, Allison!

Drew loved blowing out his candles. We had to light them twice because he was so quick to blow them out the first time that we couldn't get any pictures. He kept saying, "Again! Again!"

All in all, we had a great day celebrating such a sweet, special little boy. We love you, Andrew John!
