I heard the door a couple of times but when I went in and threatened to make him lay down in his crib instead he cried and laid right back down in Mady's bed. I came back 10 minutes later to find him like this:

It was much darker without the flash of the camera. It took me awhile to find him all curled up in the corner like that! He ended up sleeping for about three hours and did awesome, so we decided to see what would happen if we converted his crib into a toddler bed. We were a little apprehensive about giving him that freedom, but he has blown our minds with how wonderfully he has done sleeping in there. He doesn't get up and come running out, he usually waits for me to come in and get him in the morning or after his nap, and is extremely content with his new set up. The other night he didn't want to go to bed, but I laid him down and left and he didn't come out. When I went to bed a couple hours later I found him in the middle of the floor. I have no idea how he got there or how long he was like that. Thankfully it was a one-time thing!

This is normally how we find him when we go to bed. So sweet! We're so thankful he's adjusted to this so easily. It will make things a lot easier for me after my c-section since he can crawl in and out on his own, and it's one less transition he will have to make after the baby gets here. We're so proud of him!
