Since we got to go to Florida right after Drew's birthday, we didn't end up having quite the big shindig we'd originally been planning. I don't think Drew minded, though, because he still got to dig into two cakes out of the deal:-) We enjoyed a yummy dulce de leche cake down in Florida. Drew had no problem diving right into the rich carmel frosting!
We also had a party over at Nick and Allison's, and Allison made a delicious vanilla bean cake (If anyone local is reading this, she would be happy to make you cakes, cupcakes, or cookies for your special occasions!). The them for the party was 3...2...1 Blastoff! Because Drew turned 1 on 3/2, there was really no better theme! Kudos to Kendall for thinking that one up:-)
Drew's making a good effort here, but luckily he had a big sister ready and willing to help with the candle.
This cake was also a success and we had lots of fun celebrating our special little man.
