The Friday before finals we celebrated "Christmas Morning" in the North Suites. The guys (many of them rolling out of bed for the occasion) made their way down to the lounge for pancakes, bacon, the Christmas story, and a present. Fun was had by all, but especially Mady:-)
As you can see, the lounge catches quite a morning glare.
Our normal Saturday morning routine consists of getting donuts at the bakery. When we told Mady that we would be doing pancakes with the boys, she was not excited. She insisted on donuts and told me she didn't like pancakes (false). She repeatedly claimed she didn't want to go to Christmas morning, so I ended up buying a bag of powdered sugar donuts. She was then excited to go and loved the morning. Moral of the story: Mady is creature of habit.
Telling stories to the boys...a captive audience as usual!
Once Drew got to this point, we decided it was time for him to cash out, so he spent most of the morning in his swing.
Mady was playing with our camera, so Steve was playing it up. He didn't realize she was actually taking pictures.
Mady helped Kendall read the Christmas story out of her Jesus Storybook Bible. She would mumble words as Kendall was reading, attempting to read along.
Kendall ordered matching bathrobes with a patch that says "North Suites 2011-2012". Needless to say, they were a major hit. I think we will be seeing them lots in the coming months!
