Arizona!

We just got back from a long weekend in Phoenix visiting Kendall's Grandma Jan and Bill, Beth, and Emma. It was wonderful! Mady was a champ with all of the traveling and schedule changes. She was quite excited to go on the airplane, especially once we met Grandma Lisa in Chicago for the second leg of our flight (of course, she was quite excited about Chicago already since she knows the Cubs play there. She makes her daddy so proud!) She watched Snow White for awhile on the flight, but she did fine without the distraction.

Our hotel was beautiful, and the weather even more so. I think it was in the mid to upper 70s both days we were there. We were able to enjoy an afternoon in the pool (us and the Canadians, go figure!) Mady really liked the hot tub, but also had fun dunking under the water with Daddy and chasing him around.

I could get used to a view like this every day!

We ate supper one night at a great Mexican restaurant. Grandma Lisa taught Mady a new trick that involves dumping a packet of sugar on a lemon slice and licking it. She loved it.

She is quite the little ham!

She only made a little bit of a mess...

After supper we went back over to visit Jan and this was the gorgeous view from the parking lot. God is quite the artist!

The last time we saw Grandma Jan was the day Mady was born. It was great to be able to spend a little bit of time with her. Mady really enjoyed seeing her and playing hide and seek in her room. Those closets were great!

She taught everyone how to play her Veggie Tales memory game. Although her rules change every time.

Saturday afternoon was spent with Bill (Lisa's brother), Beth, and Emma, who is 6. Mady was very excited to get to play with Emma, and since the weather was so gorgeous, they got to spend lots of time outside.

Emma has a fun Barbie Jeep. Mady really isn't ready to be driving it, but Miss "I do it myself" would only sit there if she could be in the driver's seat. Luckily, Emma could still control the vehicle.

This was our first time meeting Emma, so we were really glad it worked to spend time with them!

We flew back home on Sunday. Mady was a trooper again, although she was quite tired by flight number 2. She sure did love riding the tram from the car rental place back to the terminal in Phoenix!

Needless to say, it was a great trip and we are very thankful for the opportunity to go to AZ. I wish we could have brought the weather home with us! But we made the best of what we have to work with here and spent some time playing with the Mosers in the snow this afternoon.

As a quick and unrelated side note, we have scheduled our C-section for March 3rd. Only 43 days to go until our new little guy joins us!
